The Ethics Review Boards become the Swedish Ethical Review Authority

The Swedish Ethical Review Authority is a public agency under the Ministry of Education. The agency began operations on 1st January 2019, and thus replaced the regional ethical review committees.

Digital application

Another new application is a digitalised way of working. Before 1st January 2019, researchers submitted their applications on paper in one original and 17 copies. Today everyone applies via the application management system Prisma. Applications with a decision taken before 1st January 2019 are not available in Prisma until an application for amendment in Prisma is submitted.
