NordForsk announces funding for research on COVID-19

NordForsk has opened a call aimed at supporting Nordic and Nordic-Estonian/Latvian collaborative research projects on COVID-19. The aim of the call is to generate new knowledge that can help fight the COVID-19 pandemic through regional research collaboration. The Swedish Research Council is co-financing the call.

The projects must have partners from at least three Nordic countries or two Nordic countries plus either Estonia or Latvia. The research projects should use high-quality health data. Health data is broadly defined and may include, for example, data from registers, biobanks and OMICs analyses. Data management must be done according to the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).

The call closes on 16th June 2020, and grant decisions are expected to be made in September or October 2020. Each project can apply for approximately SEK 10 million.

More information about the call can be found here.
