Improved conditions for R-RCT

A development initiative on register-based randomised clinical studies (R-RCT) has been carried out within the framework of the cooperation Clinical Studies Sweden, a collaboration between Sweden’s six healthcare regions that are financed and supported by the Swedish Research Council.

The initiative has resulted in:

  • a quality-assured national standardised framework for R-RCT
  • documentation and technical standards for R-RCT (e.g., roles and processes, technical and functional overview, source code and licenses)
  • a website that make this information available.

The Forum Uppsala-Örebro node (with the Uppsala Clinical Research Center, UCR, as project manager) has been responsible for the initiative, in collaboration with the other nodes within Clinical Studies Sweden.
