Prescribed drugs register

The prescribed drugs register covers all medicines issued on prescription by pharmacies, and also data on all consumables covered by medical insurance and issued on prescription, such as stoma products and special diet foods for children under 16 years old. The number of items in the register amounts to just over 100 million per year. The prescribed drugs register with personal identity numbers started in July 2005, and covers all pharmaceuticals issued on prescription at pharmacies. The register is updated once a month.
